One pot cooking with no added fat. Put all ingredients in a pot, fill with water 2 inches above the ingredients. Bring to a boil. Simmer 30 – 40 minutes. Freeze some in smaller containers.
1 large pkg. split dried peas (I use Bob's)
1 diced onion
3 stalks diced celery
1 sliced leek (cut in half and clean well)
4 potatoes cubed
10 carrots sliced
Other vegetables can be added.
Cover with water (about an inch above the vegetables/peas)
2 bay leaves
salt and pepper
