Spiritual Growth

The Enlightened Perspective

by Alan Maleh

"To be exposed and amenable to a diverse array of individuals with different attributes, talents and skill sets, varying levels of expertise and a wide range of interests. Excluding no one. And ideally those who are not afraid to tell [me] what they think."

This creed incorporates ten tenets as follows:

  1. Don't believe anything you hear. Test it in your life. It has to work. Believing means there is already an element of doubt. The secret to success is to know the laws of life -- not to believe in them. When one tests these laws & principles, you will come to know the Power of the Creator.

  2. Suspend all preconceived notions, opinions and beliefs. Then, open up to make room for compelling new ideas. This allows one to understand and evaluate the ideas more effectively. Yet, be alert to [subtle] omissions, contradictions, inconsistencies, and deception or illusion.

  3. Listen to fellow creatures. We learn from everyone. This makes it incumbent upon one to understand the essence of another entity.

  4. Understand that one requires time to assimilate new ideas.

  5. We usually perceive things in the opposite (Observation made by Rabbi Yehuda Ashlag). That is, we are prone to make judgements on immediate perceptions.

  6. Always give credit where credit is due.

  7. Understand the paradox: There is complexity in simplicity, simplicity in complexity. Look for [seemingly] non-apparent relationship patterns in different aspects of life. These kinds of observations require you to sensitize your perceptive abilities, and go beyond illusions and what is only on the surface. This will certainly change your reality from one of chaos and disorder, to one of order, enlightenment and joy.

  8. One must not simply intellectualize the certain truths with abstract concepts and acts. They need to be internalized as concrete truths in order that they reverberate within one's soul. In doing so, one attempts to resonate in concert, forming a conduit, with the Source of all things. This gives one the opportunity to create energy flow, or life.

  9. Always attempt to be proactive, not reactive. Negative and reactive emotional states [from the ego] such as fear, doubt, worry, judgement, anger, greed (i.e., too much attachment) and envy, literally blocks vital life-force energy, creating a state of dis-ease.

Love, Compassion, Sharing and non-fear based thoughts are the antidotes that will allow life-force energy to flow within you to create a state of health, vitality, and harmony. This energy flow has been directly measured; for example, a loving thought generates base10 log -35 million megawatts, whereas a fearful thought generates a base10 log -750 million microwatts -- a huge difference.

  10. Realize that we didn't come to this world to be good -- we came to be better!
