A Conscious New Year
My wish to you for in the coming year is to grow in awareness
and to stay present in all that you do. What about the
difficult situations, do we stay conscious in the moment there
too? Yes, and I have a new series for you, Transforming
Victimization: True Stories. Real life people, like you and
me, have powerful stories to share to teach us how to process
and grow spiritually when very difficult situations appear in
our life. Let each inspire you on your journey.

How does one heal
and grow from an unthinkable traumatic experience? It helps
each of us when others open their hearts and tell their
stories. In this issue and several following, personal stories
illustrate how we can move beyond staying a victim and how to
use painful events to grow spiritually. Know that the events
that wounded us, whether or not they are as severe as those in
these stories, can deepen our relationship with our Self and

QUESTION: I have a question about my
relationship with my live-in partner. I wonder if it is in any
way connected with the answer you gave in another issue
of your newsletter regarding baby Sophia's soul
"needing a little more comfort than most" to
sleep. I feel like my partner needs an inordinate amount
of comfort from me. I am struggling with his need to feel
close to me. He says he feels excluded
from a lot of my life.
