Greetings from the Editor:

Everyday Is a New Beginning

No matter what we want to change, heal, or create in our life, a new opportunity presents itself each morning. This is especially helpful to remember when we want to build new patterns such as having more of an upbeat attitude regardless of the ups and downs of life or to pay attention to beauty as each day unfolds. Focusing on the next step and then the next helps us create the things we want to experience, explore, have, or do -- from self-care to a new hobby to redecorating a room in our house.

Consider beginning each day, before getting out of bed, expressing several things for which you are grateful, and then send a blessing or a prayer to family and friends struggling and in need. Next, review intentions for your day. Besides the regular routine, ask yourself what is one step that you will take to move you in the direction of your desires. It doesn't matter if you were unsuccessful and did not follow through in the past. The point is there is a new beginning each day to move forward and begin anew.

If this is a new idea, ask yourself, "What do I choose to have or do to improve in my life?" It can be simple things such as to exercise more, eat better, say kinder words to yourself and others, or smile more. This sets in motion an intention. Be pleasantly surprised when this helps move you in the direction of your dreams.

Namaste,

Suzanne

Instead of feeling powerless to make a difference there are several things to consider that can be the antidote to this dilemma....

Introvert Myths Busted

By Allen Prescott

Whenever I tell someone I'm an introvert they usually say, "But Allen, you're so outgoing. You're not an introvert." Whenever I tell someone that I created an introvert discussion group, they laugh and say, "Did anybody show up?"

Seven Tips to Feel More Alive and Connected

By Jeanine Sande

I absolutely do not believe in New Year's Resolutions. I rebel. I have incredible respect for people with discipline -- those who follow specific healthy diets, or those who get up early in the morning to go to the gym. Not me! I listen to my body and follow it to the best of my ability. Mostly, I go for what feels good.

Take a Look at Your Needs

By Suzanne E. Harrill

Many times we get caught up in our busy lives and forget to tune into ourselves to notice which of our needs are crying for attention. Meeting our basic needs helps our lives run more smoothly and makes us happier and healthier individuals. Some of you may be saying, "Needs? I am not even aware of what my needs are." Or others of you may be saying, "There's no one I can count on to meet my needs." Let us discuss a fundamental principle in meeting our needs and see a brief overview of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs to help us get in touch with some of our needs today...
